The iPhone 4 promo videos that Apple will never use banned iphone 4 video

Whatever the issue you had with the iPhone 4’s antenna, Apple ended it with a song that said “If you don’t want an iPhone 4, don’t buy it. If you bought one and you don’t like it, bring it back.” That’s fair. It’s also very logical in the sense that you definitely can’t argue with it. So, we should all just stop with the Antennagate issues already. But just for fun, you might want to check out these iPhone 4 videos for a quick giggle (we’re actually still laughing about it). So hit “read more”, press play, and sit back.

It’s official: The Kinect will hit the shelves on November 4 Xbox Kinect kitIf you thought batting around the Wii was fun, then you’re probably pretty hyped up about Microsoft’s Kinect that’ll let you use more than your arm to move around a game world. So here’s the important part (in case you missed the title up there): The Kinect will officially start shipping on November 4th in North America. For everyone else on the fence, you might want to catch the Kinect Experience mobile demo tour they’re going to be holding this summer, where they’ll let you fool around with “Kinect Sports,” “Kinectimals,” “Kinect Joy Ride,” “Kinect Adventures” and MTV Games’ and Harmonix’s “Dance Central” in case you want to try it out first.

Check the demo tour schedule, along with a couple of old videos of a Wii-playing dog after the break, just so we can all remember how far we’ve gone.

Apple just released four new iPhone 4 ads that highlight its FaceTime feature. Not necessarily as awesome or as “hip” as you’d normally expect (no rock and roll backdrops on these ads) from Apple, but they did manage to pull out the “aww” from awesome. So yeah, FaceTime’s pretty cool, in case you haven’t checked it out yet. Even if the ads showed that they’re holding it wrong. Zing! (Sorry, we couldn’t help it.) No big deal in this case though, since FaceTime won’t need a network signal (it uses a Wi-fi connection), there’s no danger of dropped calls no matter how you hold it.

Three more videos after the break.

Interesting tech-related stuff you might have missed the past week:

The weekend link a thon: iPhone debate ends in cartoony tech aneurysm iPhone 4 vs HTC Evo screenshot

More Apple vs Droid points:

  • YouTube: This iPhone4 vs HTC Evo video now has over 4 million views since the iPhone 4 launch (Spoiler: one of them dies at the end). Be warned: lots of text-to-speech profanity ahead. Not something you’d want to show the kids.
  • Barrons: This telecom analyst thinks “it’s just a matter of time” before Google’s Android eats Apple’s lunch.
  • Louis Gray can see it coming and jumps ship from iPhone to Android: “A bet on iPhone 4 today may be a vote for the best phone of today. But a bet on Android is a bet on the future.”
  • Scobleizer agrees (kind of), but still can’t kick his iPhone habit.

Around the net:

  • MediaPost: When ghostbusters sue other ghostbusters then drag MySpace into it, we all lose. The ghosts are probably happy about it though.
  • Orange County Register: A 25-year-old gets a year in jail for sending hundreds of threatening text messages – to herself.
  • CNET: Facebook isn’t overly fond of nipples.

Blending the buzz that ruined the World Cup and other vuvuzela related stuff willitblend vuvuzela

Everyone agrees: the 2010 World Cup has been made totally unwatchable thanks to the incessant, annoying buzz made by the local plastic horn called the vuvuzela. And while the authorities can’t Hitler the whole thing and just take away everyone’s horns, we somehow got a little bit of vengeful satisfaction from seeing it being blended—totally unlike the time Blendtec shredded a new iPad and iPhone 4 (the iPad episode brought us to tears. They’ve blended a lot of stuff in the past, but that was particularly brutal).

Three vuvuleza-related (vuvuzelated?) videos, plus a worthy vuvuzela-related cause after the cut.
