Tech company Kempler & Strauss has just announced that they’ve come up with the W Watchphone and tagged it as the world’s smallest. It should measure up well against the much-hyped LG GD910 watchphone–with quad-band GSM connectivity, a touchscreen LCD, and 4GBs of built-in storage—but smaller, which means that it should be more wearable.

It doesn’t take long for an awesome idea to go around. Ok, it’s not really that awesome or practical, nor is it an original idea, but they did it anyway. Samsung (in Korea) has just announced their version of the touch-based wristwatch-phone, called the S9110. It bears more than a few similarities with LG’s GD910, which was first unveiled months ago during the CES show in Vegas and picked up by Orange in the UK. We’re pretty sure it’s no coincidence, but we wish we knew why both devices need to be named one number apart.
