In the market for a cheap tablet? Who isn’t? Actually, don’t answer that. While we love good deals, we also prefer tablets with a little more “oomph” under the hood. But if you were looking for something that delivers the basics, then here’s one that’s about to ship real soon. ViewSonic has said that the 7-inch ViewPad 7e, a tablet that’s set to sell for $200, will be launching in a “matter of days.”
ViewSonic has introduced the ViewPad 10e, a 9.7-inch tablet that runs on Android 2.3. It’s probably not what you’d normallyshop for if you’re looking for a premium Android experience (that OS is getting a bit old), but here’s the fun part: the ViewPad 10e should be relatively affordable.
Viewsonic has introduced their third Android-based smartphone. Called the V430, the specs look pretty similar to the V350 they introduced earlier this year, with both running on Android Froyo and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. This one comes with a larger screen to compete with… well, just about every other just-released premium smartphone.

ViewSonic has announced US launch plans for the ViewPad 10Pro tablet that they first showed off earlier this year. What makes it so special? It’s a rare tablet that offers dual-boot capabilities, letting you run either Android or Windows 7. Despite the unique capability, it’s not going to be the most advanced tablet to fill store shelves when it arrives in the end of August, but it’s certainly an interesting option if you’re someone who’s looking to replace that netbook in your travel bag.
Budget tablet shoppers, this one’s for you. Viewsonic’s 7-inch, Android-powered ViewBook VB730 is now up for sale on Amazon. Packing a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A8 processor, 512MB of RAM and an 800 x 400 screen, it’s not the most decked-out tablet in the market, but it’s certainly something to consider, mostly because this slate costs less than half a regular tablet’s price at $230.
