As people get to work more and more with Siri and the iPhone 4S, we’re bound to see a number of uniquely amazing tweaks and tasks that can be done with the new digital personal assistant’s voice recognition feature. Take this one, for example. We’ve already seen how Siri can rap, but if you’re into relaxing lounge-y tunes, this one’s up your alley. Evidently, Siri can play the piano too. [video after the break]
This shows how good (and entertaining) Siri can get with a little hacking know-how. This video from the Music Hack Day 2011 in London shows an iPhone 4S with Siri rapping to Notorious B.I.G’s Hypnotize. Not bad, Siri. Not bad at all. (video available after the break)
If you’re still stuck on iOS 4.3.x because you loved your iPhone’s jailbroken state more than you love iOS 5, then here’s something we’re sure you’ve been waiting for. Hacker Pod2g has just announced that he’s found a way to get an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5.0.1, and has tested it to work on A4-based devices, tweeting that he’s “got an untethered iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.1. Feel free to update.”
Here’s another attempt to make Siri run on older iOS 5 devices (like the iPhone 4). The difference between all those earlier attempts and this one? This tweak is available to anyone with a jailbroken device, thanks to a package that doesn’t use Apple’s original iPhone 4S keys or files – or in other words, it’s a legal (and available) way for you to add Siri’s voice dictation feature on your non-iPhone 4S device.
The iPhone 4S has been selling like sexy, glass-paned pancakes in just about every country that it’s selling in, but if you wanted the latest iPhone because Apple said that it was the only way you can experience Siri, then here’s something that might interest you: apparently, it runs fine on the two-year old iPhone 3GS as well.
