If you were waiting for definite news about Nokia’s plans to ship their Windows Phone-running devices in the US, here it is: Nokia has confirmed that the Lumia 710 will start shipping early next year via T-Mobile, making it the first Nokia Windows Phone to arrive in the US. It’s essentially similar to the device that Nokia unveiled back in October, but T-Mo’s version will arrive in a different black/white scheme compared to the colorful designs of the international version.
Thanks to a WP7-themed invite sent out last week by Nokia and T-Mobile, the fact that the Nokia Lumia 710 will be released on T-Mobile isn’t that much of a surprise anymore. But since they didn’t mention specifics, it still wasn’t a certainty. This should make everything just a little bit more obvious though: a press photo of the Nokia Lumia 710 has just turned up at Pocketnow, showing the Lumia line’s entry level model rocking T-Mobile’s badge at the bottom, making the likelihood of a Lumia 710 launch on Wednesday a near certainty.
T-Mobile has confirmed that they do have a white version of the Galaxy S II up their sleeves, and it’s ripe for a release next week. According to the carrier, the white Samsung Galaxy S II will be available on December 14th, and will sell for the same price as the original black version for $230 with a contract and after a $50 rebate. It’s a bit more limited though, since the white version will only be sold via T-Mobile online.

Nokia and T-Mobile has sent out invitations for an event on December 14 in New York City. The invite didn’t mention exactly what they plan to launch next week save for a line that says that they’ve got “something exciting in the works”, but the invite’s layout might be a clue. Those squares on the invite might be a reference to the Windows Phone OS tile interface, which could only mean one thing: T-Mobile will be launching the Lumia 710 in the US.
