Enough with the leaks and rumors already. Motorola has (finally!) officially announced the Droid 2, ending the stream of internet talk with the confirmation that it actually exists. And it’s set to launch in a rush too, with the pre-sale period set to start on August 11th, and the actual launch day a day later (Aug 12). Certainly significant news for smartphone fans, although we kind of already knew that, thanks to all the leaks and rumors. Specially this one that turned out to be spot-on with the whole rushed schedule.
It’s totally unnecessary, but unnecessarily awesome nonetheless. TomTom has teamed up with Lucasfilm to give you the (again, awesome) option to replace your TomTom navigator’s default “voice” with Star Wars voices, including Darth Vader, Yoda, Han Solo, and C-3PO.
