Comfy couch computing: Logitech outs new Speaker Lapdesk N550   Logitech lapdesk N550 aFact number one: the audio quality on built-in laptop speakers usually suck. Fact number two: despite being called “laptops,” you usually can’t keep a laptop on your lap for more than a few minutes because of the heat being spewed out from the underside. Solution? There are actually a lot of laptop platforms and cooling pads you can get to get around these issues, but Logitech’s first Speaker Lapdesk N700 was apparently successful enough that they thought to put out another one—this time for smaller notebooks and netbooks—called the N550.

Asus unveils compact, 5 channel Cine5 speaker kit   Asus Cine51Asus has just announced the Cine5, a 5-channel speaker kit wrapped up in a compact body that they’re touting as the “world’s smallest five-channel speaker array.” We’re not so sure about the claim or how long that claim will hold, but this compact kit packs in a lot of good stuff. It’s not your standard compact speaker kit.
