Olympus launches $600 E PL1 Micro Four Thirds cam   08 R

Olympus has just launched the E-PL1, the third camera to fall under the brand’s PEN line of Micro Four Thirds cams. It sports a 12.3MP sensor that’s pretty much the same as the existing E-P1 and E-P2 models, but trumps its two more expensive siblings—at least for casual photographers—by adding a built-in pop-up flash that leaves the hot shoe available for other accessories (like an external flash or optical viewfinder).

Olympus launches E P2 Micro Four Thirds cam   Olympus E P2

Olympus has released the E-P2, the company’s second Micro Four Thirds compact cam that improves on the original (E-P1) 12.3MP cam by adding continuous motion-track autofocusing—for tracking a moving target–along with manual controls during HD video recording.

Olympus announces entry level E 600 DSLR   olympus e 600

Olympus has just announced a new entry-level Digital SLR cam, the E-600. On paper, it looks like a stripped-down version of the 12-megapixel E-620 with a stripped-down price, so it looks like a fair exchange.

Olympus comes up with new Tough cam   mjuTOUGH6010 Red 001

Olympus has just announced the addition of a new cam along their popular Stylus Tough line of rugged, compact cams called the mju Tough-6010 (or Stylus Tough-6010 in the US). Built with a 12-megapixel sensor, the 6010 naturally comes with the features it shares with its other Tough-mates: a body that’s shockproof (up to 1.5 meters), waterproof (to 3 meters underwater), and freezeproof (to -10 C). It also introduces a new feature called “Magic Filters” for coming up with artsy stills.

Olympus’ prosumer E P1 cam now available   Olympus E P1

Olympus’ new high-end cam is a compact that drops the traditional DSLR’s bulk but keeps an SLR’s optics. Tagged as the E-P1, the new cam is a 12MP shooter that features the Micro Four Thirds standard that supports interchangeable lenses originally designed for DSLRs on compact cameras.
