Acer is about to release the C7 Chromebook, a second-gen computer that runs on Google’s Chrome OS, a 1.1GHz processor, 2GB of memory, and a $199 price tag that makes it the cheapest Chromebook in the market right now.

MSI has started shipping the GX60, a 15.6-inch gaming notebook that runs on Windows 8, and comes powered by AMD’s quad-core A10-series CPU, a Raderon HD 7970M GPU, and 8GB of DDR3 RAM.

Panasonic’s newest Toughbook can take a reasonable amount of abuse with built-in shock- and spill- resistance, as well as support for Windows 8.

Google’s latest Chromebook (built by Samsung) features a faster system, a sexier frame and upgraded specs. The best part can be found on the price tag though: this one only starts at $249.
