Cheaper ultrabooks on the way: Asus’ upcoming Zenbooks will start at $800   Asus Zenbook

Asus could be coming out with a pair of affordable mainstream ultrabooks, made affordable by price points that will reportedly start at $800. Called the Asus Zenbook UX32A and UX32Vd, the two ultrabooks will feature 13.3-inch screens and will come powered by Intel’s low-voltage Ivy Bridge processors that range from the Core i3-3217U to the i7-3517U – provided that you’re willing to wait, since the first batches will run on Intel’s older Sandy Bridge platform.

Specs, details of Dell’s XPS 15 update leak out   Dell XPS 15 L501x

Specs and details of Dell’s unannounced 2012 update for their XPS 15 (L521X) laptop has leaked online and posted on Dell-Lab, revealing a laptop fronted by a 15.6-inch, 1080p screen and a system based on Intel’s upcoming Ivy Bridge platform.

Acer’s Timeline Ultra M3 ultrabook rocks GeForce graphics   Acer Timeline Ultra M3Acer has unveiled a new notebook that looks like an ultrabook, but with a spec that offers much more than your average ultraslim laptop. Called the Timeline Ultra M3, this new “ultrabook” is made unique because of a larger-than-usual 15-inch screen up top, and the inclusion of dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT640M graphics under the hood.

While we certainly thought that the Razer Blade was an awesome gaming notebook, we never thought demand for a $2,800 notebook would be this high. So high, in fact, that Razer has run out of their initial stock within 30 minutes of putting it on sale.

Details of Alienware’s upcoming lineup for 2012 leaks out   Alienware M17x

Details for Alienware’s notebook lineup for 2012 has been posted on Dell-Lab, spilling the goods on what’s in store for later this year. It’s not a complete spec list, but the leak at least confirms that Alienware will be releasing updates for their M18x, M17x, and M14x models.
