Asus could be coming out with a pair of affordable mainstream ultrabooks, made affordable by price points that will reportedly start at $800. Called the Asus Zenbook UX32A and UX32Vd, the two ultrabooks will feature 13.3-inch screens and will come powered by Intel’s low-voltage Ivy Bridge processors that range from the Core i3-3217U to the i7-3517U – provided that you’re willing to wait, since the first batches will run on Intel’s older Sandy Bridge platform.
Acer has unveiled a new notebook that looks like an ultrabook, but with a spec that offers much more than your average ultraslim laptop. Called the Timeline Ultra M3, this new “ultrabook” is made unique because of a larger-than-usual 15-inch screen up top, and the inclusion of dedicated NVIDIA GeForce GT640M graphics under the hood.

While we certainly thought that the Razer Blade was an awesome gaming notebook, we never thought demand for a $2,800 notebook would be this high. So high, in fact, that Razer has run out of their initial stock within 30 minutes of putting it on sale.
