Mozilla just released the final version of Firefox 4 for Android (a version for Maemo is also out, in case you rock the Maemo-running Nokia N900). The new mobile browser features a JavaScript engine that’s listed to be up to three times faster than Google’s standard browser, while offering most of the goodies found on the desktop version. Most notably, the mobile version also comes with the Awesome Screen for one-touch access to bookmarks, history and search engines, tabbed browsing that’ll let you quick-switch between pages, and a Firefox Sync feature that’ll let you sync bookmarks, tabs and add-ons from your desktop. Mozilla’s intro video for Firefox 4 for Android is available after the break.
Just in case you missed the part where your Firefox browser (if you’re a Firefox user) told you about some kind of update, here’s another reminder: Firefox 4 is out now, and has already logged more than 7 million downloads worldwide within the first 24 hours. So what’s new? A lot, apparently. First off, you’re going to notice a redesigned interface that offers more space for the webpage itself, a number of new features for easier access and navigation as well as a lot of performance enhancements to make it zippy. You can download Firefox 4 here if you want to pick from the international language list, or just hit this link for the English version. Check out the demo video and full feature list after the break.

Mozilla has just announced that they’ve released a mobile version of their Firefox web browser. The good news is that we can get a mobile phone-based browser that we’re all (or at least those of us who use Firefox) familiar with. The bad news is that the first version of Firefox Mobile will be for Maemo-based mobiles only, so unless you own a Nokia N810 or N900 (Nokia’s “mobile computer”), you’re going to have to wait for another version.

Mozilla’s Firefox browser has been updated to version 3.5, which should be the final version for Firefox 3. The latest update boasts of better (read: faster) overall performance, better security, and a host of new features.
