Awesome glass keyboard and trackpad gets listed on Kickstarter   glass multitouch keyboard

If you’re a fan of revolutionary design, then you’re going to like this: startup Product Design has listed this glass keyboard and glass trackpad on Kickstarter for funding. Made using tempered glass, the multitouch peripherals rely on touchscreen tech called FTIR (Frustrated Total Internal Reflection) which basically uses infrared lights and a camera for detecting user input.

Sure, it comes with a 6400dpi sensor, but that’s not really what makes this mouse special; it’s the unconventional modular design that allows a user to change just about everything to get the perfect grip. And when we say ‘everything,’ we do mean that you can change everything on this kit. The design allows a user to adjust the mouse’s length, weight, and heck, even the height.

Just in case you weren’t familiar with the original Orochi notebook gaming mouse that Razer put out a couple of years ago, it’s basically a mouse with gaming/performance bits and Bluetooth/ USB connectivity built into a compact mouse meant for portable/laptop gaming. This update is basically a purely cosmetic one, coming with the same high-end specs, but in a better-looking shiny shell.

Before anything else, let’s tackle the obvious question: what the heck is a “ring mouse”? The Genius Ring Mouse is basically a wireless pointing device that slips around your finger… like a ring. Get it? It’s actually closer to a trackpad than mouse because, well, it has an optical trackpad with which you move the cursor around with your thumb. And since “Ring Trackpad” doesn’t sound catchy at all, ‘ring mouse’ it is, then. Anyway, the compact pad on top also comes with two mouse buttons, so yeah, you use it like a mouse. Whatever it is, it should be handy for doing presentations and moving around the interface while walking around.

HP outs world’s first Wi fi mouse   HP wifi mobilemouseWireless mice have been around for years now, and with Wi-fi networks being available just about everywhere, HP thought it was time to get rid of the classic RF and Bluetooth methods normally used on everyone’s favorite computer pointing device. This here is the first commercially-available wireless mouse that hooks up via Wi-fi, by HP. Simply called the Wi-fi Mobile Mouse, the mouse doesn’t need an RF-connected USB dongle or Bluetooth connection to hook up, and is listed to come with a nine-month battery life.
