LG has put out a teaser for a phone with a somewhat unique spec in Korea. Called the Optimus Vu, the phone sports a unique 5-inch IPS display that features a rare 4:3 aspect ratio. Most smartphones rock a wide aspect ratio, while a 4:3 aspect is what you got on a standard CRT TV… which is likely where they got its name.
Ever since Nokia announced that they’ll be releasing a white version of the Lumia 800, everyone immediately thought ahead and wondered if the Lumia 900 was going to get the same treatment. After all, their newest (upcoming) Lumia could possibly be the best smartphone you could buy if you were in the market for a premium Windows Phone-based device, and the Lumia 800 looked good in white. While Nokia didn’t make any official announcement (yet), it looks like a white Lumia 900 is pretty much as good as confirmed after they accidentally posted a photo of the phone on their Facebook page – where they were supposed to be pimping the newly-announced white Lumia 800.
Interesting bit of news regarding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S III flagship phone. According to this report by Korean site ETNews, the Galaxy S III will be built using significantly slimmer components – with the mainboard, chips, and connectors about 10-20 percent thinner – for fitting into a 7mm-thick frame.
