Maingear has just released new desktop gaming PC configurations that come equipped with ATI’s Radeon 5870 series graphics cards. Just released last week, the Radeon HD 5870 offers full support for DirectX 11, enhanced 3D visual effects, ATI Stream parallel processing, and ATI’s Eyefinity tech that allows for multi-display setups (for linking up to three monitors).

Performance system builders Maingear Computers have just announced what they’re tagging as the “world’s most powerful desktop replacement notebook,” the eX-L-18. Equipped with an 18.4-inch widescreen (1920×1080) display and weighing in at 9.5 pounds, it’s not necessarily something you’d want to lug around all day but this SLI-powered portable makes up for it with an everything-but-the-kitchen-sink spec list.

Custom PC builder Maingear Computers have just announced that they’ll be offering their customers a free copy of Windows 7 after buying any of their custom PCs. This comes in the form of a coupon for a free Win 7 upgrade that can be redeemed when the OS ships later this year.
