Are you looking for a tweak that’ll let you run Windows 7 on your iPhone? If you answered ‘yes,’ then pardon me, but you’re crazy (you’re aware that Microsoft came up with the Windows Phone 7 platform for you, right?). But if you’re just interested in tweaking your iPhone’s interface to make it look like your iPhone’s running Windows, then here you go: the iWindows tweak is a UI theme tweak that simply replaces the default iOS interface and replacing it with a Windows 7 look that may or may not interest you.
Apple just released iOS 5 beta 3 for developers to work on yesterday, and before the general public even has a chance to try that one out (mostly because beta versions really weren’t meant for public consumption), it’s already jailbroken. So if you ever wanted to get adventurous and try out the beta release of the operating system that’s going to power the next-gen iPhone, but you were iffy about using an iOS version that’s been locked to stock, then fear no more. Just be warned that the released version of iOS 5 is a beta, so don’t whine about stuff not working the way they’re supposed to. The juicy jailbreaking bits after the break.
Update: The Swype tweak just got updated a couple of times over the weekend, adding a number of improvements and a name change to “iSwipe.” Version 0.2.1 now adds a blue line that traces your finger’s route so you can make sure you’re hitting the right letters. It’s also more accurate now, and is definitely more usable.

In case you haven’t heard yet, JailbreakMe 3.0 has already been released, giving you a really easy way to jailbreak your iOS device. Not to mention the only way (so far) to jailbreak the iPad 2. In case you’ve heard about it, then you’ve probably already went to the website, tapped the button twice, and currently have all sorts of unapproved apps and tweaks running on your iOS 4.3.3 device. Heads up then: Apple just said that they’re working to put out a firmware update that’ll patch the PDF exploit used by JailbreakMe 3.0.
It’s been rumored for months, then recently leaked out (and then taken down), but here it is. Finally. The official version of JailbreakMe 3.0, the popular untethered jailbreaking method that uses a simple PDF exploit in Safari to crack open your iOS 4.3.3 device, is now live. Of course, there are a lot of other jailbreaking tools already available out there, but none as easy as this. More importantly, this is the first—and so far, only – method that can jailbreak an iPad 2 along with every other iOS device on the planet (or at least the ones that aren’t running on iOS 5 beta).
