Apple will stream the Music Event live… to people who own an Apple device Apple music EventApple will be streaming their music-themed event live from the Yerba Buena Center in San Francisco (10am, Pacific), which we all expect to be where they officially unveil their new iPod lineup and the new Apple TV (or iTV), iOS 4.1 for iPhone, and the iOS 4 for the iPad. The white iPhone could make an appearance too.

Anyway, if you want to watch everything as it unfolds, you’re going to need a Mac with OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, an iPhone or iPod touch with iOS 3.0 or higher, or an iPad to watch the live stream. Windows and Android device-owners, you’re left out of this one. But that’s okay, since you obviously didn’t care that much about Apple products, right?

An Apple music event for Sept 1? That means new iPods. Apple music Event

Apple. Music. September 1. That’s pretty much all we need to know. Apple just got the word out that they’ll be holding a special music event for September 1. We all know what that means: new iPod line coming up. Apple has traditionally unveiled new iPod lines during September, so this shouldn’t be much of a surprise. The event is expected to be highlighted by the official unveiling of the fourth-gen iPod touch, which could pack a Retina Display and FaceTime dual cams. Other new iPods, including a new Nano and touchscreen shuffle are also expected to be unveiled, along with a new version of the Apple TV set top called the iTV  that’ll run on Apple’s iOS.

Leak details upcoming iPods, iPhones and iPads ipod iconThere’s a report over at iLounge that gives off details for Apple’s expected iPod launch for September that includes three new iPods. We can’t be sure of the accuracy since it could all be just a rumor, but we do know that Apple is due for an iPod refresh very soon.

The new iPod models are said to include three new models, highlighted by the new iPod touch that could be rocking a FaceTime-supporting cam. The other two includes a new iPod nano, and what could be an all-new iPod shuffle that comes with this tiny touchscreen. No word on the classic though, which might mean the end of the line for the original clickwheel-and-large-drive-packing player.
