Nissan (yes, the car company) has announced that they’ll be entering the mobile accessory business with a new protective case specifically designed for the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S. Called the Scratch Shield case, the simple shell is made of ABS plastic and molded to fit the iPhone perfectly. While it looks simple enough (you’ve seen plastic iPhone cases before, right?), the Scratch Shield comes with a unique feature that allows it to “heal” itself to get rid of fine scratches.
Bluetooth keyboards aren’t necessarily a new thing these days, but while they can work with both desktops and mobile devices, they can only pair with one device at any one time. Accessory maker Matias has come up with a handy solution with people who work on desktops but would prefer a faster way of typing text on the iPhone without having to pick up an extra dedicated keyboard for it. Called the One Keyboard, this keyboard has a dedicated button for instantly switching between a PC or Mac and an iPhone.
If you own a simple iPhone dock, you already know the drill: it definitely works, but it mostly feels clunky and you don’t get that plush sense of awesome design and engineering that you enjoy from your typical Apple product. Enter Elevation Lab, a startup who’s looking for support (via Kickstarter) for what may be the best-looking iPhone dock in the market (…next year). Called the Elevation Dock, it’s a simple iPhone dock that focuses on beautiful design and practical functionality, letting you slot in an iPhone (with or without a case) perfectly, and letting you undock it just as easily. This is the iNuke Boom by Behringer, the world’s largest, heaviest and loudest iPhone speaker dock for anyone crazy (or rich) enough to buy. An iPhone dock that’s so loud, it pumps out 700 Watts of power – enough to power a live concert or build a reasonably large club around. And how big is it? So big, you’re going to need to clear out 32 square feet of floor (or stage) space to fit this 8 x 4 foot, 700-pound dock. So big, in fact, that if you look at the photo closely, that tiny speck on top is an iPhone.
