Here’s the expected effect of the iPhone 4S announcement: dropped prices for the iPhone 4. For people who don’t want the extra horsepower or better cam on the iPhone 4S, this is the perfect time to buy a still-awesome iPhone 4 on the cheap. Verizon has confirmed that they’re clearing out their existing iPhone 4 stock, cutting the prices of the 16GB and 32GB iPhone 4 models down to $150 and $200 on a contract.

Looking at their respective spec sheets – as well as holding both in your hand – you’d most likely think that the Galaxy S II takes the “slim” crown. Apple’s MacBooks are tech icons mostly because of the easily recognizable design. First off, it’s hard not to notice that aluminum frame and the slim lines. Also, that glowing Apple logo right smack in the middle of the notebook’s lid is pretty hard to ignore. The iPhone, on the other hand, is already pretty recognizable on its own, but the logo found on the back plate? Yeah, it doesn’t glow. It’s probably a petty thing considering that the iPhone’s features and performance should already speak for itself, but if that logo glowed, well, it just makes it a tiny bit more awesome.
