Tired of having to plug in your iPhone or iPod touch to a set of speakers? Wish you could stream your iTunes tracks from your computer to the speakers in your living room? Well, in case you didn’t know, that’s what Apple’s AirPlay feature is for. iPhone or computer connected to a Wi-fi network, AirPlay-supporting speakers connected to the same network, press play, music streams from source to speakers. Music-loving owner who hates wires, now happy. You probably already own an iOS device and a PC or Mac loaded with the latest version of iTunes. All you need now is something like this: the iHome iW1, which is a wireless speaker that supports Apple’s AirPlay tech.
While hundreds of clock-docks currently exist for Apple’s different iPhones and iPods, iHome just launched one of the first to support the iPad with the iA100. Aside from serving as a basic charging dock with an attached alarm clock, this kit also features Bluetooth connectivity, an FM radio, plus supports a multifunctional iHome+Sleep app that gives a whole lot of info within reach of your bedside table.
Okay, it won’t actually help you cook, but this iPod dock for the kitchen is certainly set up to keep you company while you do. The iP39’s stainless steel and black plastic body is designed to match the rest of the kitchen décor (provided that the stuff in your kitchen is made up of stainless steel and glossy black surfaces) and it should also be easy to clean in case you make a mess.

iHome has finally started shipping the iP1 Studio Series, the brand’s eye-catching iPhone/iPod speaker dock that was first unveiled months ago. Now available for $299 through the Apple store and other online retailers, the iP1 is highlighted by a modern design that sports an open acrylic frame and a big, deep sound brought about by a Bongiovi Acoustics signal processor and a 100-Watt (RMS) speaker set.
