China-based electronics manufacturer i.Tech has announced a solar-powered Bluetooth headset. Tagged as the SolarVoice 908, the headset’s outer surface is lined with a solar panel, allowing it to charge the internal battery while the headset is worn. The battery’s rated for five hours of talk time and a 140-hour standby. Of course, it can also be charged using a more conventional USB connection, sparing users from having to keep it plugged into an ear to charge.
It’s now shipping in China for the equivalent of $67.
