Specs for an upcoming Android 4.0-based phone has been tipped to Stuff, describing a ‘low-end’ phone called the HTC Primo. According to the source, the HTC Primo will rock a compact 9mm-thick frame that’s fronted by a 3.7-inch Super AMOLED screen that’s protected by Gorilla Glass (the photo above is a mockup by Stuff). What makes this package interesting is the rest of the spec, which looks like it’s going to be the first budget phone (or at least the first mainstream phone) to arrive installed with Android 4.0.
It’s not even announced yet, but there’s a lot of tech geek buzz going around the phone known only as the HTC Edge. Last week, a source told PocketNow that the HTC Edge will be changing its codename to HTC Endeavor – a strange move, since the codename is only for internal identification, but it could be because of all the leaks that have come out way before they plan to officially unveil it (it’s rumored to get the official treatment next month at the Mobile World Congress). Well another report regarding its name just popped up about its official name: it could be known internationally as the HTC Supreme once it gets launched.
Another leaked screenshot from a Verizon system has been sent to Droid-Life, revealing a previously-unknown 4G-enabled smartphone called the HTC Fireball. The listing doesn’t give out any details regarding the phone, but it doesn’t look like a rebrand of something we’re already aware of. The model number (ADR6410) is different from what’s already been released, but it falls between the model numbers for the HTC Rezound (ADR6425) and the Thunderbolt (ADR6400). Judging solely on the numbers (really, there’s no way to look at it any other way), the Fireball might be a premium model.
News of a dedicated “Facebook Phone” has been going around for a long time now, but a source has finally spilled some details about an actual device. Codenamed “Buffy” (after the TV show with Sarah Michelle Gellar… and that’s as far as we know about it), the device is going to be made by HTC, and will run on a customized version of Android.
A photo and complete details of HTC’s next-gen tablet just leaked out on Pocketnow, revealing a premium slate that runs on NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 chip. Reportedly called the HTC Quattro, the tablet will rock a 10.1-inch screen with a 1280 x 768 resolution, 1GB of RAM, and 16GB of internal storage that can be added onto with a microSD card slot.
