HTC officially unveils the Sensation, high end spec confirmed htc sensationAs expected, HTC officially unveiled the Sensation at an event in London today. Previously known as the Pyramid, the launch pretty much confirmed the details that were previously leaked. It’s currently HTC’s flagship phone with a high-end spec that’s similar to Sprint’s Evo 3D, featuring a 4.3-inch, 540 x 960-resolution touchscreen, dual core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor, and Android 2.3 OS with HTC’s Sense UI, but without the 3D screen and dual cams found on the Evo 3D.

They also show a number of different angles (hey, that’s the front!), including a shot of the system details and one of the phone without the cover. Anyway, if the rendered photo from an earlier leak says anything, it’ll look pretty similar to just about every other modern touchscreen Android phone from the front anyway. The front part’s going to feature four Android buttons below a big screen, so it’s really not that big of a letdown. (But still… all that trouble and no one came up with a shot of the front? It just bugs us.)

HTC’s upcoming phones leak out from China: HTC Ignite, Prime, Pyramid HTC ignite News of two upcoming (but still unannounced) HTC-made Windows Phone 7, err, phones and the Android-based  HTC Pyramid just turned up from a Chinese site, XDA.cn. We have no idea how they got the scoop, but that’s irrelevant. So let’s get down to the phones. First up is the HTC Ignite, which is listed to be the flagship, although the spec doesn’t look that hot. It’ll come packing a 3.7-inch, resistive touchscreen with a 800 x 480 resolution, and an 800MHz Qualcomm processor – most likely a second-gen Snapdragon CPU – along with 512MBs of RAM and a 5MP main cam. The Ignite is also listed to support 7.2Mbps 3G download speeds.
