Samsung announced two new audio docks that they’ll be showing off at CES next week. First up is the DA-E750, which is a premium speaker that comes powered by a mix of Samsung’s own 100-watt hybrid vacuum tube amplifier for pumping out warm tones and a digital amp for accuracy, and packs in a 2.1 speaker setup.
JBL has released the OnBeat Xtreme, a speaker dock that features a rotating connector for housing an iPad or iPad 2, as well as iPhones and iPods. Designed for people who don’t mind paying for quality, this speaker dock packs serious amount of quality tech behind the eye-catching design.
Here’s a nice-looking bedside dock if you’re into slim-and-sexy stuff: XtremeMac has started shipping the Luna Voyager II, a speaker dock with clock functions for iOS devices. Equipped with a built-in speaker, LED clock with alarm functions and FM tuner, it won’t really offer anything unique or different from your regular alarm clock dock, but the design makes it noteworthy simply by looking so much like your classic bedside clock. It’s not necessarily retro-styled, but the design works well.
Like every other clock-rocking speaker dock already in the market, the iLuv’s new iOS dock features the basic speaker and clock radio functions that include a basic alarm, making them a handy device to have on the bedside table. You know the type; you set an alarm time, and it’ll blast the room with your specified radio station, alarm sound, or MP3 track when it hits the time. But sometimes, it just doesn’t work. Sometimes, you’re too drunk to mind, or you’re the type of heavy sleeper who can sleep through anything. If you’re an audiophile who’s looking for a high-end audio dock for your iPhone or iPod, you’re going to want to check this out. Harman Kardon has introduced the MS 150, a premium speaker dock that rocks a pair of 30W loudspeakers in a one-piece frame. That’s two 30W bass-reflex speakers –high quality, no doubt – in a docking station that’ll cost you a little under $700.
