One quick look at the App Store will show you a huge number of desktop remotes and VNC client/server apps, all of which will give you the same thing (give or take a few features): they’ll let you check out what’s showing on your computer’s screen and/or let you control specific apps or functions using your mobile device. A $4.99 app called everyAir, made by Pandaelf, takes it a step further though. It won’t just let you control a remote mouse or view a screen. This app will let you play desktop games right on your iPad, iPhone 4/3GS or iPod touch 3G/4G over Wi-fi. Pretty nifty right now, but their new video demo (available after the break) shows just how awesome it could get: the video shows them playing PS3 games on an iPhone.
We’ve already seen what the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play (also known as the PlayStation Phone) looks like, and we already have a pretty good idea what the specs are going to be. That doesn’t stop the leaks from coming in though. Sony Ericsson’s gaming phone just turned up again, this time served up on a display counter. When the Xperia Play starts making it onto store shelves (whenever that is), expect the device to be propped up on one of these.
We’ve already covered the leaks and rumors, went over a few specs and details, and pretty much have an idea what it’s going to look like. But what we’ve got right now is a video of the PlayStation Phone in action, via a spy video from Greek site TechBlog. According to the post, the device is currently codenamed Zeus, will be tagged as the Sony Ericsson Z1 when it goes into production, and is seen running on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Check out the video after the break.
Black Friday’s coming up, and if you were itching to get your hands on a Nintendo DSi, here’s your chance to pick up a rarity. Nintendo will be coming out with new DSi bundles in green and orange colors. It’s supposed to be a limited run so there’s no way of knowing how many they actually put out, but here’s your heads-up in case you run into a mob of people who also plan on picking up a DSi on Friday. (Consumer-zombie mob rushing the stores for a DSi? Sounds unlikely, but you never know, right?)
Is this the PSP2? Kind of. According to this photo leak, this first look at the PSP2 shows a developer’s prototype, so things are still likely to change by the time it gets officially launched. The curved sides make it look like a PSP go, although the description gives us a clue on what to expect from the next PSP.
