Nokia’s Symbian^3 line of smartphones just grew larger after they officially unveiled three new touchscreen-equipped phones running on the brand new OS to follow the long-awaited N8 (which, by the way, still hasn’t started shipping). The list starts off with the C6-01, which we first caught a glimpse of thanks to a leak; a more upscale C7 that packs an 8MP cam and 720p recording capabilities; and the E7, which Nokia touts as the “ultimate business smartphone.”
Well, the leak proved to be true after all. T-Mobile just launched the Nokia E73 Mode in the US as expected, effectively replacing the E72 on top of the brand’s business phone ladder—at least for the US market. It’s still unclear if this will ever be released outside of T-Mobile’s network, and truth be told, we’re still not sure if this is necessarily better than the E72. Why? Because, save for a few obvious cosmetic changes, the specs say that the E73 Mode is practically identical to the older E72.
We’re not sure how many people will necessarily get swayed into buying an E72 because of a new color option, but in case you needed another reason to pick one up (you really don’t need another reason. The E72 is solid.), it now comes in a special White edition kit. This comes roughly a month after they introduced the attention-grabbing purple E72.
