Sorry if it confused your brain-grapes, but that slim, diamond-shaped thing in front of the keyboard isn’t an oddly-shaped flatscreen display. It’s a whole nettop PC by eMachines, actually. Called the Mini-e, this is the first system sold in the US to rock AMD’s new low-power Athlon II Neo processor. Probably not the most powerful nettop around (which should be fine, since if you’re buying a nettop, power shouldn’t be one of your top concerns), but it does look cool, considering what they managed to pack into it.

eMachines has launched its own NetTop PC – the EZ1601-01 all-in-one desktop PC. If you need a secondary computer at home, a NetTop could be a convenient solution. The machine is a space-saver, with the CPU lumped together with the display – just don’t expect the kind of performance you’ve gotten used to in a standard desktop.

If you like things with a minimalist and modern vibe, you’ll find eMachines “contemporary” desktops interesting. The ET1300-02, ET1810-01 and ET1810-03 desktop PCs have bright, shiny, white shells with black accents. They are bundled with matching keyboards and widescreen displays with built-in speakers as well.
