LG revealed their plans for a TV accessory that supports Wii-like gestures. Called the Magic Motion Remote, the device looks like a simplified TV remote that comes with a Spartan amount of buttons to keep things simple, coming with a simple 5-way d-pad and your basic volume, channel and power buttons.
A dock that’ll let you mount your iPad onto your wall? It’s a pretty simple concept, but one that’s surprisingly rare in a world that’s filled with tabletop iPad docks. It’s definitely a cool idea though, giving your room that nice, futuristic touch you always wanted since watching your first sci-fi movie. Anyway, there’s one headed for the US: Bracketron has announced that they’re bringing the iDock (created by iRoom) to the US, Canada and Mexico.
Looking for a better way to control your home entertainment system? Logitech has something for that – they’ve actually been serving universal Harmony remotes for years. But if you already own a smart device, say, an iPad, iPhone or Android device, then you don’t have to splurge on a separate remote anymore. They’ve just announced the Harmony Link, a tiny adapter that acts as a WLAN-to-infrared bridge, letting your iPad (or iPhone/ iPod touch/ Android device) control your home entertainment system.
We’ve seen our share of unique iPhone docks and accessories over the years, but this literally lit us up with an idea that sounded good. The GiiNii AudioBulb is a device that integrates a 10-watt, 2.25-inch wireless speaker into a standard light bulb’s casing that also comes with an LED light bulb. The speakers then connect to a dock via a 2.4GHz wireless radio. The result? Like a lot of wireless speaker docks, you get to spread your tunes around a room (or around the house) without having to dedicate wall or desk space to a set of speakers, since the bulb fits into any standard Edison socket that you likely already have on your ceilings and lamps.
Remember the Dash? You know, the 7-inch internet viewer-slash-media player-slash-bedside digital alarm clock that Sony unveiled in CES back in January? You probably don’t. Or if you do, you probably remember it for being something neat to have beside your bed, but you weren’t willing to shell out $200 for something that does the same things that your smartphone or tablet already has covered. Now, if you thought it could have been useful but if only it didn’t cost that much, then here’s something you might be interested in: Sony just announced two more Dash devices called the HID-B7 and HID-B70. The difference with these two new kits? They won’t cost $200.
