Creative has updated the existing Vado HD pocket videocam with a larger 4GB model and Mac support through a new Vado Central app that ports videos directly to iMovie. Other than a new body color scheme (that adds a second color to the buttons and trim), it’s still technically the same device that records 720p video in the H.264 codec.
Pricing has been updated to compete with cheaper players though; the price for the 4GB model is set at $200 for the black/red version, while the white/green model will sell for $180.

Creative has just unveiled their newest portable media player, a touchscreen-based device dubbed as the Creative Zii Egg. Packed with a 3.5-inch, 480 x 320 resolution multi-touch display that can play music and videos as well as view photos and web pages, you can be forgiven if you thought it was just another Apple clone. It’s going to be marketed as something different though, with a Linux-based OS that welcomes open-source thinking.
