Asus could be coming out with a pair of affordable mainstream ultrabooks, made affordable by price points that will reportedly start at $800. Called the Asus Zenbook UX32A and UX32Vd, the two ultrabooks will feature 13.3-inch screens and will come powered by Intel’s low-voltage Ivy Bridge processors that range from the Core i3-3217U to the i7-3517U – provided that you’re willing to wait, since the first batches will run on Intel’s older Sandy Bridge platform.

Asus and Google is collaborating on a 7-inch tablet that targets the Kindle Fire with a price tag of $199-249. Details are a bit limited at this point, but the tablet will be out by May, and will be the first to run the Google Play store. According to this report by DigiTimes, Google chose to work with Asus on this one because of their good product quality and ODM capabilities.
Asus brought out two new tablets at MWC: the Transformer Pad 300, and the Transformer Pad Infinity . Both tablets run on Android 4.0, but designed for different purposes in mind. The Transformer Pad 300 basically looks like a low-cost version of the Transformer Prime, coming with basically the same spec, but with a few downgraded features to trim down on costs.
Last time we heard of the Asus Transformer TF300T, it was in a leaked photo that didn’t come with any details, making us assume that it could either be a juked Transformer Prime prototype, or a tablet that they’re currently working on for a future launch. Evidently, it’s the latter. Thanks to a new leak from Polish site Table Two, we actually have a few specs to go with the photos, and it looks set to rival Acer’s upcoming A510 slate with a similar spec.
Asus could already be working on a follow-up to the Eee Pad Transformer Prime. Taiwan site NCCC has spotted an unreleased tablet labeled as the TF300T, coming with a certification from QuieTek that provides wireless testing. It doesn’t come with an official name yet, but judging by the model number, it could be a follow-up to the company’s latest flagship tablet, the Transformer Prime TF101.
