If you’re an Apple fan, then you know the drill. You just need to have the latest thing. And right now, we’re this close to seeing Apple release their latest iPad, which means that you’re likely trying to get rid of your old one (if you haven’t already). If you need to get the instant bucks for buying the new iPad, here’s an option: you can sell it back to Apple. Apple has updated their Reuse and Recycling Program, where you can exchange your old devices for Apple gift cards.

The new iPad will start selling on 8am on Friday through Apple Stores and other retail outlets such as Best Buy, Radio Shack, Sam’s Club, Target and Walmart, but if you live in a country that isn’t scheduled to get it first, then that information probably doesn’t mean much to you. Maybe this next bit might be a bit more interesting for you then: Apple has announced details for the new iPad’s “second wave” of launches.
We have no idea how they managed to get their hands on this one (and frankly, we don’t care), but Vietnam’s Tinhte managed to get a new iPad before the official March 16 launch. The new iPad they got came in its official retail packaging – it basically looks like the iPad 2’s box – giving us a good first real look at Apple’s latest tablet.
Well, that didn’t take long. Hours after Apple’s new iPad announcement, Samsung sent out a comparative list that pits their Galaxy Note 10.1 against the Apple tablet to prove who has the better slate. Naturally, Apple gets ‘Samsunged’ again on this one… because it’s impossible to win when Samsung gets to pick the comparative parameters. The “yes-no” comparison mainly revolved around the Galaxy Note’s inclusion of a pen stylus and side-by-side multitasking – which are things that the iPad can’t do out of the box – so yeah. Samsung wins!
Seriously though, we’re not saying one is better than the other — at least not right now, since both tablets aren’t out yet (we at least know that the iPad will be out next week, though) – but the whole “Apple sucks” thing in this case makes it hard for us to take Samsung seriously. It’s like saying you beat LeBron James in a basketball game where the rules have been tweaked so only you can shoot the ball and he isn’t allowed to dunk on your head.
