We’ve already seen the world’s most expensive iPhone. While we’re still waiting for someone to deck the iPad in diamonds, here’s something to raise your plain tablet’s price up to 16 times over: Luxury brand David August has put out an exotic leather collection that includes the world’s most expensive iPad case. The collection consists of five pieces made of “the world’s finest alligator skin,” all hand-cut and stitched in Italy by a skilled family of artisans. Personally, we would have preferred to see what the world’s finest alligators would have looked like alive, but you have to admit that these things look the business. And they should: the whole five-piece set costs $37,800 if you want them all, but you can also pick them up individually if all you want is the $6,900 iPad case.

Rusty North America is an apparel brand that caters to the surfing crowd. Green Day is a punk rock band. Rusty has just announced that they’ll be collaborating with Green Day on a new collection of hooded apparel with built-in machine-washable headphones—something that doesn’t seem to have anything to do with surfing, punk rock, or Green Day (unless you wear the hoodies after you surf and listen to Green Day), which pretty much leaves us with an intro that goes nowhere.
