Samsung’s Super Bowl ad for the Galaxy Note features The Darkness, a little weirdness samsung superbowl ad

Samsung has put out the full Super Bowl ad they teased last week, starting with the usual scenes of “bored” Apple fans waiting in line to get an iPhone. Again, someone pulls out a Samsung Galaxy Note, and… things just get weird from here on out. The Darkness frontman Justin Hawkins suddenly appears, a guitar drops into his hands and sings the main lick from “I Believe in a Thing Called Love,” Galaxy Notes start falling from the sky, and everyone – including the Apple fans in line – joins in an impromptu street party that includes a marching band, the cute girl from their earlier ad, stunt bikers and skateboarders, and a dude who shoots out of a cannon.

Samsung’s teaser ad for the Galaxy Note makes fun of Apple fans… again! Samsung Galaxy Note Ad

Samsung has put out another one of their Apple fan-bashing ads under their growing “Next Big Thing” series of ads. Although much of the teaser video looks very familiar (more on that later), it’s a little different this time. Instead of the usual push of the Galaxy S II’s features — compared to whatever Apple’s “new thing”  offers  — Samsung will be pushing the Galaxy Note.

Two more “Apple fanboys are silly” themed ads from Samsung Samsung Galaxy S II ad screenshot

If you genuinely laughed at Samsung’s first “next big thing” ad, and snickered at how Samsung kind of forgot all about Siri in their Voice Actions ad, then you might want to check out two more Samsung ads that rags on Apple fans. These two ads (available after the break) basically follow the same theme, showing excited Apple fans lining up and camping (or preparing to line up and camp) outside an Apple store getting “Samsunged” by Galaxy S II owners. We have no idea what getting “Samsunged” actually means or how Apple fans are supposed to be swayed by the ads, but they’re still fun to watch. One ad touts the S II’s turn-by-turn navigation feature, while the other shows off the phone’s 4G support.

Samsungs new ad touts Galaxy S II’s Voice Actions feature, pretends Siri doesn’t exist Samsung Galaxy S II Voice Actions ad

Samsung just put out a new ad for the Galaxy S II that touts its built-in Voice Actions feature. It’s also the second one we’ve seen that rags on Apple fans lined up outside an Apple store to follow their “The next big thing is already here” theme. In case you’ve never used an Android phone in the last two years, Voice Actions is the operating system’s built-in voice dictation feature that allows you to type messages using your voice. It looks pretty handy in the way it was used in this scenario, where the iPhone-using dude couldn’t type a message without taking off his gloves. Unfortunately, the ad forgot to take into account that these Apple fans were likely lining up to get an iPhone 4S that comes with a more functional Siri that does the same thing (and more) using voice. Video after the break.

Nokia has started to ramp up the hype for the Lumia 900 and Lumia 710 –  two of their first phones to run on Windows Phone OS – with videos that have popped up on YouTube. The video for the Lumia 900 looks geared more for the international market, with trippy Euro-tronic music and a general feature list that’s highlighted by the inclusion of 4G LTE support, an eight-megapixel Carl Zeiss camera, a front-facing webcam, and WP’s People Hub that ties your social networks into one place. [One more video after the break]
