This is the Acer Iconia Tab A200, a tablet that hasn’t been unofficially introduced (or at least not yet), but here it is thanks to Acer’s own promo video that popped up on YouTube. The video shows a 10-inch tablet that sports a front-facing cam, a USB port, microSD storage as well Acer’s clear.fi (for streaming media across devices), and Acer Ring (a UI shortcut for accessing different media and social networking features). The rest of the device’s spec still remain unknowns, but the video also shows it running on Android Honeycomb. Video after the break.
There are slim notebooks and there are really slim notebooks that look so good, it’s instantly recognizable. Acer’s Aspire S3 notebook? Definitely looks awesome. Instantly recognizable. Unfortunately, we recognized it as something that looks almost exactly like Apple’s MacBook Air – sans the glowing Apple logo on the lid, of course. But is that so bad? Not at all. In fact, if you’re a Windows user, then you’re going to love this. Best of all, it’s also relatively affordable, starting at $900 on Amazon.
It looks like AT&T is going to be busy this weekend. After announcing that they’re going to be launching the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play on the 18th, they’ve now revealed that they’ll also be launching a new tablet, the Acer Iconia Tab A501, on the same date.
Acer has started shipping the Iconia Tab A100 in the US, a seven-inch tablet that’s one of the first to use Android 3.2 on a smaller screen. Curiously, Acer is trying to target a new niche for this one, describing it as the “ultimate companion for mobile moms and families.”
If you sit farther back and maybe squint a little, you’d probably think this photo is an artsy shot of a MacBook Air. Obviously, you’d be wrong, but it’s a forgivable mistake. Because these leaked photos, showing an upcoming Acer notebook called the Aspire 3851, is a dead ringer for Apple’s MacBook Air.
