Samsung recently announced that it is rolling out an entire family of new data projectors. The line consists of eight models in four series – P for portable, L for LCD, D for data and A for A/V.

The <a href=” http://www.samsung.com/us/productsubtype/projector_subtype_portable.html”>P series (P400) ultraportable projector weighs less than two pounds and has 150 ANSI lumens from a LED light source. The <a href=” http://www.samsung.com/us/productsubtype/projector_subtype_classroom.html”>L series (L220, L300), targeted towards classroom or conference room use, uses 3 Chip technology for realistic picture quality and has built-in speakers with stereo sound output. The L300 model offers HDMI support as well. The <a href=” http://www.samsung.com/us/productsubtype/projector_subtype_conferenceroom.html”>D series (D300 and D400) on the other hand is geared towards large venue use, offering HDMI support as well as higher brightness capacities for challenging lighting conditions. Lastly, the <a href=” http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/type/type.do?group=audiovideo&type=hometheaterprojector’>A series ((A400, A800 and A900) has a widescreen resolution best for movie-viewing. It provides increased color brightness by 50% and 1080p full HD resolution with its digital light processing (DLP) optical engine.

The P400 will set you back $700, while the L300 costs $1100. The D300 is $1000 and the D400 is $2000. There’s no word yet on the pricing for the other projectors however.
