For those wanting to browse through their options, startup Svpply ventured out to help them make better purchasing decisions by scraping products off different shopping sites, and presenting them to users for better comparisons. Recently, the social media service included a mobile app, making it even easier to window shop, match up prices, shop, and share them with your friends online.

A few hours ago, the Interwebz exploded with news that Mark Zuckerberg and his social media giant noming machine Facebook, has bought Instagram for a billion smackers. This sent the social Web abuzz, speculating about the possible reasons why the Zuck made the purchase, which entailed the Instagram team moving on to Facebook HQ.

MOTOACTV fitness tracker now works with other non Moto Android phones   motorola motoactvMotorola’s MOTOACTV fitness tracker can be a pretty handy device to pack if you’re a regular runner – or at least a regular runner that needs to know the specifics of your, um, run. Problem is, it’s not so flexible since the matching MOTOACTV Android App only works with Motorola’s Android phones. Well not anymore. The Android App is now a lot more Android-y, with an update that gives it universal support for all Android phones running on Android 2.1 or later.

HTC Locations app gets updated with offline navigation feature   HTC Locations

Nokia’s Lumia phones have been lording over the Windows Phone world in terms of navigation mainly because the Nokia Drive app was pretty handy. Handy mainly for the app’s ability to get you to a location – complete with turn-by-turn voice guidance and detailed maps – without needing an active data connection. Well, this should even the field up a bit: HTC has updated their Locations app to support offline use too.
