
You can have your barrage of hipster jokes about Instagram (or have that drinking game where you down a shot whenever somebody posts a heavily filtered photo online), but you have to admit: the photography app is very popular. It’s not just in the iOS-powered ironically inclined community that it’s taken over, even brands are also heavily using it for their online marketing. And now it’s making its way to Android devices.

The upcoming installment to the Angry Birds franchise, Angry Birds Space, drops two weeks from now. And it’s definitely one of many things a lot of us are looking forward to this month in the mobile landscape (including Temple Run’s port-over to the Android platform, the recently concluded Mobile World Congress, and the new iteration of the iPad, among many others).
Are you a PC gamer with an iPhone? Here’s something that could be right up your alley. ROCCAT Studios is showing off a new smartphone app called Power-Grid that will let you check your PC’s status and control programs from your smartphone. The advantage to this? No more alt-tabbing out of the game to access information, and no more forced minimizing whenever someone decides to send you an IM while you’re gaming.
If you’re a regular runner, then you already know this: sometimes, music and a calorie counter just isn’t enough to make things entertaining anymore. But what if you had zombies on your tail… wouldn’t that be more than enough to spice things up a bit? Fo’ sho! That’s exactly what this new app was designed to do. Called Zombies, Run!, this app basically ties the whole jogger’s tech package that consists of your mobile’s GPS and accelerometer with a gaming component to keep things fun for your daily runs.
