Dock an iPad or play music from your iPhone? JVC’s new docks can park both at the same time jvc ux vj5There are docks made for the iPhone and iPod touch, and docks that’ll let you park either an iPhone or an iPad. But if you own an iPad and an iPhone and ever found yourself having to decide whether to charge or play content from one or the other, wouldn’t you want a speaker dock that’ll let you park both devices at the same time? We know… that sounds a little silly. Not to mention petty, considering the fact that these devices come with a charger, you can always solve playback source issues with a stereo cable, and there are a lot of other problems you could be wasting brain cells on right now. But just in case you were interested in a dock that rocks dual slots for handling both an iPad and an iPhone/iPod touch, JVC’s got you covered.

JBL intros AirPlay capable On Air speaker dock JBL On Air 1JBL has just unveiled the On Air, which is basically a speaker-dock… another one of those made-for-Apple speaker docks that are quickly becoming common these days. The features? You can probably enumerate the basics with your eyes closed: iPhone / iPod charging dock, clock radio functions with dual alarms and FM tuner, enhanced with RDS support that enables it to display station data on the screen. So what makes it different? For starters, the design is pretty unique. Or at least relatively unique since we’ve already seen the design on the On Time, which is basically another one of those made-for-Apple speaker docks. So what’s new? Built-in wireless streaming, buddy. This speaker dock was designed to work with Apple’s AirPlay feature, which will let you wirelessly stream music from any computer running iTunes 10.1 (or later), or from any iOS-running device (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch) running on iOS 4.2. Which makes this kit awesome if you have a number of computers and iOS devices, and you don’t want to have to move and plug in a set of speakers to each and every one of them just to listen to your 80’s Disco Mix.

A place to park your iPad: Philips outs Fidelio Docking speaker Fidelio Lifestyle Docking Speaker DS8550 bHere’s a nice place to park your iPad: a high-end speaker dock that’s designed to actually sound good. Sure it looks decent enough too, but here’s what separates this speaker dock from hundreds of others: a Bluetooth connection that will let you wirelessly stream sound from your iOS device to the dock. That’s a pretty handy feature to have when a game requires you to madly tilt or tap away at the screen.

Monster intros Daft Punk Edition Tron headphones monster daftpunk tron

It looks like Disney is going all-out with the Tron brand. We’ve got Tron-themed 3D glasses, and we’ve seen Tron-themed gaming mice and keyboards. Now, they’ve teamed up with Monster Cable to put out a line of Tron-themed products highlighted by this pair of over-ears. The Daft Punk Edition Tron headphones are designed for all-around use, which basically includes gaming, home cinema and music (so yeah, that’s pretty much everything), but what makes this pair special? Like any other Tron-themed product, it’s all about the lights.

The Libratone Beat wireless speaker looks pretty, pumps out 360 degree audio Libratone Beat

It looks awesome, it can connect to pretty much anything thanks to a number of connectivity options (although it’s designed with Apple devices in mind), and it packs a unique design that pumps out 360-degree sound. Basically, the Libratone Beat wireless speaker is an all-around good thing to have in a room if you’re into home audio. That last feature with the 360-degree sound will let you place this baby in the middle of the room without having to point it anywhere, and the interesting design certainly won’t hurt if you do.
