Western Digital has just expanded their My Passport family of portable drives by unveiling the My Passport AV. It still pretty much looks like the rest of the My Passport drives, although WD claims this one to be “optimized for video storage and playback,” and is designed to work primarily with your home entertainment center, not just with a PC.

Asus has just unveiled the latest network media player to fall under their O!Play line, the HD2, during the CeBIT show in Germany. It’s basically a relatively flexible media player that will let you play multimedia files straight off a storage source—that’s either connected via any of its ports and slots or through the network—straight to a TV.

Netgear’s new wireless kit is designed for multimedia streaming, or more specifically, Blu-ray-quality HD streams. The Wireless -N HD Home Theater Kit comes with a pair of wireless streamers that’ll basically let you shoot your Blu-ray videos from your home entertainment system in the living room to the home network so you can get your HD content served in any other room in the house without the cable clutter, but with the bandwidth and speed that’s comparable (at least according to Netgear) to a wired connection.

MSI has just unveiled the Air Keyboard, a wireless 200-gram keyboard that comes with built-in motion sensors that you can hold up and wave around to move the mouse pointer. Samsung 3D TVs due out next month

The 3D-capable Samsung LED HDTV series, made up of the LED7000, LED8000, and flagship LED9000 (a.k.a. “the 0.3-inch HDTV that comes with the really awesome remote”), will start shipping by March… at least in the UK, according to the announcement made during Samsung’s 2010 Forum in Vienna.
LG to release slimmer, brighter 20-inch OLED TVs this year

LG Display will begin production on 20-inch OLED (Organic LED) screens later this year, according to VP Won Kim. Usually found on high-end mobile phones, OLED technology allows for power efficient displays that are not only slim, but also brighter, and more vividly colored.

These days, old CRT TVs just aren’t cool anymore. Everything’s High-def, with current consoles, digital TV programming, set-top boxes and Blu-ray players (as well as the dropping prices on LCD panels) all giving us enough reasons to ignore anything that’s more than four inches thick and just check out the HDTV shelves. LG just announced a new CRT that looks so old, that it’s actually cool. If you’re looking for an artsy tube, we can’t blame you for wanting this thing.
Sony announces Torne TV tuner for PS3
