Belkin has put out two new camera accessories for the iPhone 4S, making the new iPhone’s awesome built-in camera a little bit more awesome to use. First up is the LiveAction Camera Grip, which is basically a contoured mold that makes the slim device easier to handle. Besides giving you something more substantial to hold on to, the Camera Grip also adds a dedicated “fast-fire” shutter button and a tripod mount. The LiveAction Camera Remote is a kit that’ll let you take a photo or video from up to 30 feet away – basically handy for taking group photos that includes you for a change. Prices and full presser after the break.
Looking to snap a DSLR camera lens onto an iPhone? Wish granted: Photojojo has just put out the iPhone SLR Mount. What is it exactly? It’s basically an aluminum case that’ll let you slot in an SLR lens right on top of your iPhone’s camera lens. So yeah, it’s exactly what it’s called: an iPhone SLR mount.
Here’s a rather unique accessory for the iPhone 4: Kogeto has unveiled something called “Dot”, which is basically a snap-on accessory that fits a 360-degree optical device over the iPhone’s lens. What for, you ask? For capturing 360-degree panoramic videos, of course. You know, for those times when there’s just so much going on around you and you can’t decide where to point your snapper, here’s your solution: just hold up the phone and let it record everything that’s going around you.
The photo you’re looking at is the world’s largest-ever true-color 360-degree image of the night sky. Of course, that’s not the whole of it, since the actual photo won’t fit in here. What would it take to come up with the “world’s largest” night sky photo? Try 37,000 individual images stitched together into a 5,000-megapixel image, showing the Milky Way galaxy—complete with nebulae, stars and planets—as you’d see it if your eyes could brighten up the image about 3,000 times.
Polaroid comes out with a pair of Camera Glasses? Sounds a bit crazy, but since they collaborated with Lady Gaga for the GL20 Camera Glasses, that kind of explains it. We’re not quite sure how practical these are, but the GL20 is basically a pair of oversized shades fitted with a camera lens in the middle and two LCD screens fixed in front of where your eyes should be.
