Called the DX-ECO BlueEye Mouse, it runs on the unique battery-free tech to make for an eco-friendly device. Instead of using traditional rechargeable batteries, the mouse packs a gold capacitor that’s listed to charge in three minutes and hold enough power to last a whole day, and is rated for 100,000 recharge cycles.

Past the battery-free tech, it’s a pretty typical wireless mouse. The DX-ECO features 7 buttons, a 2.4GHz wireless connection, and a 800/1600dpi BlueEye sensor that can work on dusted glass, marble and rough, textured surfaces like a rug or sofa.

It’s available now for $40.

Bluetooth keyboards aren’t necessarily a new thing these days, but while they can work with both desktops and mobile devices, they can only pair with one device at any one time. Accessory maker Matias has come up with a handy solution with people who work on desktops but would prefer a faster way of typing text on the iPhone without having to pick up an extra dedicated keyboard for it. Called the One Keyboard, this keyboard has a dedicated button for instantly switching between a PC or Mac and an iPhone.

The One Keyboard generally looks like a regular desktop keyboard, save for a built-in cradle for parking an iPhone above the arrow keys, and a dedicated “iPhone” button that switches between desktop use and the paired iPhone. Besides that, the One Keyboard also sports two USB 2.0 ports and connects via USB for power.

The One Keyboard is available in Windows and Mac versions for $100.

Matias has also introduced a couple of variants that feature device-switching: the $80 Slim One is a more compact keyboard that features Chiclet keys and a wireless connection to a separate stand for parking an iPhone, but without a USB hub. The $200 Tactile One is another full-sized keyboard that features mechanical keyswitches and a 3-port USB hub.

The One Keyboard and Slim One is now available from the Matias website, while the Tactile One is only available for pre-orders. All three keyboards offer support for the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and 4S, as well as the iPod Touch from the third generation.

Logitech has introduced the Cube, a device that basically ties the functions of both a wireless mouse and a wireless presenter into one compact wireless kit that fits into a shirt pocket. It’s not necessarily the first mouse/presenter combo that we’ve seen, but it’s certainly the most interesting we’ve seen yet – the design certainly helps (despite the name, it’s technically not a “cube,” by the way), but a number of unique features help it stand out.

For use as a mouse, the Cube uses a touch panel on top that lets you scroll through a page. Logitech’s Flow Scroll software delivers a scrolling experience that’s listed to be similar to what you’d get on a touchscreen phone.

Lifting it into the air automatically switches it to presenter mode. In this mode, you can click the Cube’s button to move to the next slide, while turning the mouse over and clicking again move you back to a previous slide.

The Logitech Cube is powered by a built-in battery that’s charged via USB, and connects to a Mac or PC using Logitech’s Unifying receiver that can handle up to six devices. It’s out sometime this month for $69.99.

If you’re a fan of revolutionary design, then you’re going to like this: startup Product Design has listed this glass keyboard and glass trackpad on Kickstarter for funding. Made using tempered glass, the multitouch peripherals rely on touchscreen tech called FTIR (Frustrated Total Internal Reflection) which basically uses infrared lights and a camera for detecting user input.

Accuracy with this tech – or at least how they’re applied to these peripherals – is unknown, but hey, they certainly look cool as heck. The two devices are powered by built-in rechargeable batteries neatly packed into the slim metal bases, as well as lighting and tactile sounds that can be turned on or off.

The Kickstarter project has so far reached their funding goal of $50,000, but shipping dates haven’t been given out. It’s slated to sell for $350 once the set is ready for public consumption.

Other than the extra 3.5mm connections, it’s pretty much set up like any other two-piece desktop kit, although this is expected to pump out audio with better quality compared to your bargain set. The Jembe sports 6W speakers, a signal-to-noise ratio of under 80dB, and a frequency response range of 80Hz to 20kHz, all wrapped up in a kit designed with JBL’s Weave design.

The Jembe is now available for $60.

We have no idea how HP’s first Wi-fi mouse did when they introduced it earlier this year, but apparently, they’re sticking with the concept. HP has just unveiled a successor, the X7000 Wi-Fi Touch Mouse that improves on the original’s basic design. Like the original (and like the name says), the X7000 Wi-Fi Touch Mouse doesn’t need a free USB port or a Bluetooth connection to hook up with a PC. Instead, it connects via Wi-fi, which lets it work up to 30 feet away from a computer.

The X7000 adds a few more functions to your basic three-button mouse, coming with a touch strip in place of the usual scroll wheel that basically does the same thing – swiping up or down will let you scroll through a page. The mouse also adds extra programmable buttons (six buttons in all) – that can be set to enable or perform tasks. By default, one of the buttons is set to take you to Facebook, in case a desktop icon or browser bookmark isn’t fast enough for you.

All in all, it’s a great-looking mouse if you don’t care for the unconventional wireless connection or the extra buttons.

The HP X7000 Wi-Fi Touch Mouse is available now for $60.

They’ve just announced a new line of performance peripherals called Vengeance, made up of two gaming mice and two keyboards that specifically target – initially, at least – FPS players and MMO/RTS players.

The Vengeance keyboards and mice are basically broken down between the two gaming segments – the Vengeance K60 and M60 for first-person shooters, and the Vengeance K90 and M90 for massive multiplayer online and real-time strategy games – with each line specifically designed to cater to a particular game genre’s demands.

From Corsair:

Vengeance K60 and M60: Designed For First-Person Shooters
The Vengeance K60 gaming keyboard and the Vengeance M60 laser gaming mouse are designed for PC Gamers who specialize in First-Person Shooters (FPS). The Vengeance K60 keyboard features the predictable linear response and light touch of Cherry® MX Red mechanical key switches for more agile movement and faster multi-taps. The contoured left-wrist rest plus shaped and textured WASD key caps increase comfort, even during extended gaming sessions. The K60 uses an advanced key matrix design that delivers complete anti-ghosting so no keystrokes are missed. Unlike other USB gaming keyboards that are limited to the USB-standard 6-key rollover, the K60 features a 20-key rollover and a blazing fast 1ms reporting rate (1000 reports per second).

The Vengeance M60 mouse features an enthusiast-grade Avago 5700 DPI sensor with on-the-fly resolution switching, an aluminum unibody design with adjustable center of gravity, programmable lift detection, a high-mass scroll wheel, and PTFE glide pads. A key innovation of the M60 mouse is the Sniper button, allowing an instant toggle from fast movement, high DPI-resolution mode down to a high-precision mode for more accurate aiming.

Vengeance K90 and Vengeance M90: Designed For MMO and RTS Gaming
The Vengeance K90 gaming keyboard and M90 laser gaming mouse are optimized to meet the unique needs of MMO and RTS gaming. The Vengeance K90 keyboard also features Cherry MX Red key switches, full anti-ghosting, 20-key rollover, 1ms reporting rate, and each key is individually backlit with a cool blue LED that can be adjusted to three different levels of intensity. The K90 also includes 18 dedicated macro keys that can be programmed either through software or on the fly, and with three user-selectable banks of macros you have a total of 54 independent macros available at any time. Your macros are stored in flash memory on the keyboard so you’ll be able to bring them with you wherever your gaming takes you.

The Vengeance M90 gaming mouse features 15 fully programmable buttons, arranged and tuned for intuitive operation without compromising your grip, and on-board flash memory lets you save your macros in up to six profiles that can be switched on-the-fly. An Avago 5700 DPI sensor allows on-the-fly resolution adjustment and the programmable lift detection, high-mass scroll wheel, and PTFE glide pads ensure swift, precise movement. The intuitive Windows-based Vengeance software utility lets you manage your macro keys, on-board profiles, and sensor settings so you can customize your M90 to exactly match your gaming style.

Corsair’s Vengeance line of gaming peripherals are expected out worldwide in October 2011. The K90 keyboard will cost $129, while the K60 costs a little less, for $109. The M90 mouse costs $79, while the M60 costs $69.

The title pretty much says it all, but just in case you’re a true-blue Windows user and have no idea what Apple’s Magic Trackpad, it’s basically a large trackpad, a separate accessory not unlike that touch panel on your laptop, but bigger. Logitech’s Wireless Touchpad is pretty much the Windows version of the Magic Trackpad that Apple introduced back in July, featuring a five-inch surface that supports multitouch gestures for getting that tablet feel on a desktop (or laptop) PC.

For working with Windows, the Wireless Touchpad comes with a set of drivers that gives the system support for multitouch gestures. After installing everything, you get a huge set of touch controls at your disposal, including the usual one-finger point-and-tap, two-finger scrolling, three-finger swipes for flipping through pages (as page up and page down), and a four-finger swipe for switching between open applications.

Unlike the Magic Trackpad that connects to Macs using Bluetooth, the Logitech Wireless Touchpad uses a 2.4GHz wireless RF connection via Logitech’s tiny Unifying Receiver USB dongle. The downside is that you’re going to need a spare USB connection to plug this one in, but it does have multiple upsides compared to Bluetooth. Logitech’s connection won’t burn as much power compared to Bluetooth, using only a pair of AA batteries that’s listed to last up to four months of regular use. The Logitech Unifying receiver can also support up to five other wireless Logitech devices, letting you connect a wireless Logitech mouse and keyboard using the single USB dongle.

The Logitech Wireless Touchpad is due out by the end of September for $50.

Last year, Logitech announced a way to get around that little problem by launching the K750, a wireless keyboard that rocks several solar panels on top that allows it to work and charge continuously without having to connect a charging cable. Recently, Logitech introduced a new model for Mac users. The Wireless Solar Keyboard K750 for Mac is basically the same solar-powered animal, but redesigned with a Mac-specific keyboard layout.

The K750 is designed to run off ambient light so you really don’t have to take this kit outdoors to charge. The battery’s good to last for up to three months in total darkness, and comes with a solar power app for monitoring the charge levels.

This version is also available in five colors, adding four new color variants to the Mac version.

The K750 for Mac is now available in the US and Europe for $60.

Mad Catz has started shipping the Cyborg RAT 7 Albino, a performance gaming mouse that’s designed to… well, basically do everything you expect from a performance mouse and more. Sure, it comes with a 6400dpi sensor, but that’s not really what makes this mouse special; it’s the unconventional modular design that allows a user to change just about everything to get the perfect grip. And when we say ‘everything,’ we do mean that you can change everything on this kit. The design allows a user to adjust the mouse’s length, weight, and heck, even the height.

The RAT Albino is bundled with three interchangeable palm rests – two for adjusting the grip and feel, with a soft touch and rubber panel, and one that’s 4mm thicker to increase the height – and three pinkie grips, including a ‘wing-shaped’ part for resting a pinkie finger.

The package also comes with five 6-gram weights to suit users who want to go light or heavy. Another unique feature lets you adjust the mouse’s length to suit hand size, and a thumb panel that can be moved forward, back, or pivot around for a perfect fit.

The rest of the RAT Albino’s features includes 4 custom DPI settings (via a rocker switch), five programmable buttons (aside from the usual left and right button) that can be set into profiles, separate vertical and horizontal scroll wheels, and 3 ‘Cyborg Modes’ for flipping through saved sensitivity and button configurations.

The Albino Edition costs $100, and is compatible with Windows and Mac.
