AT&T has announced that they’ll be releasing the Sony Xperia XL soon. Labeled as the official phone for the next James Bond Movie Skyfall, the Xperia XL will rock a 4.6-inch touchscreen with a 1080 x 720 resolution powered by Sony’s Mobile BRAVIA engine.
The James Bond tie-up gives the phone a number of Skyfall-related exclusives such as ringtones and wallpaper, but the phone still offers a solid spec that any smartphone user (whether they’re Bond fans or not) should be able to appreciate.
Other highlights include 4G LTE support, a 720p-capable front-facing cam, and a 13-megapixel rear cam that can shoot 1080p videos. Powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, the phone is set to ship with Android 4.0, with an update to 4.1 expected to arrive after the launch.
NFC is also supported, as well as a “one-touch” sharing feature that lets the phone instantly hook up with another phone or accessory. The phone will also come bundled with an Xperia SmartTag that you can configure to enable certain settings when the phone is in range.
AT&T didn’t mention pricing or launch dates for the Sony Xperia TL.
