A new bundled version of the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 is expected to fill Best Buy’s shelves later this month. According to a tipster, the Student Edition will come with the same $249 price tag as the 8GB Wi-Fi version, but will come bundled with a keyboard dock and USB connector accessory.
The Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 tablet itself will be the same. Powered by a dual-core 1GHz processor and 1GB of RAM, the 7-inch tablet features a 1024 x 600 resolution screen and a 3-megapixel camera at the back. It’s also going to ship running on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), but is expected to be good for an update to Android Jelly Bean soon after.
The 7-inch slate normally sells for $249, but with the newer Google Nexus 7 currently stealing the show with its $199 price tag, the bonus accessories make this bundle a bit more interesting for people looking for a few more useful extras.
