If you’re looking for an iPod/iPhone speaker dock that looks as loud as it sounds, then Philips just started shipping something you might want to look into. Called the FWP3200D 300W Mini Hi-Fi System, this kit combines a pair of iPod/iPhone docks with a 300-watt speaker system, resulting in a shiny monstrosity that looks part modern boombox, and part turntable…type… thing.

The system packs in a pair of 2-inch tweeters and 5.25-inch subwoofers that’s listed to get you enough ‘boom’ for a house party, while lights around the speakers pulse to the music. The dock also features a MAX Sound mode that turns up the bass, dedicated treble/bass controls for tweaking the audio, and an FM tuner.

The two iOS docks are built on a pair of spinning, turntable-looking discs, between a cross-fader that’ll let you mix tunes from the two docked devices. While the spinning docks won’t provide scratching, it supports the $0.99 djay app for iPhone and iPod touch that’ll let you do that.

Like most other speaker docks, this one isn’t tied to playing tunes from Apple’s devices. It comes with an aux-in connection for playing music from other sources, but without the fun spinning action.

The Mini Hi-Fi Dock is available in the UK for £299.99 (around $470), while a matching 240W speaker kit that can be stacked under the dock costs £199.99 (around $314).
