An iPhone, in itself, is already a mix of a number of things by combining your phone, music and video player, camera, book library, gamepad, calculator, etc. Despite the number of things it already brings to the table (or in this case, your pocket), it’s still not the only thing you stuff in your pockets whenever you need to leave the house. Money, credit cards, an ID, and a house key are still essentials after all. Here’s a new iPhone case that allows you to keep them all in one place.
Called the Eyn Case for iPhone, this case comes with a storage area behind the case that’s designed to hold a few of your essentials such as cash and a few cards. There’s also a mirror on the door for the people who haven’t gotten used to the idea of using the phone’s front-facing cam for self-inspection. For regular phone viewing, the case also works as a handy stand when popped open.
Of course, there’s a downside to carrying literally everything important in one tiny pocket-sized package – a stolen phone isn’t just a stolen phone anymore. Without any money, you might need to walk home as well if it ever gets pilfered. It seems the case designers already thought about that possibility: this case also comes with a wristlet that allows you to attach it safely to your person.
Another downside is that the extra space adds a bit of bulk to your phone. The description doesn’t provide the measurements, but it’s safe to assume that it’s still slimmer than your average wallet or purse.
The Eyn Case for iPhone is now available for $30 from ThinkGeek.
