Asus has announced that the Transformer Pad Infinity TF 700 tablet will start shipping in July. If you don’t remember what the Infinity is, it’s one of the two new tablets (alongside the entry-level Transformer Pad 300) that Asus unveiled during at the Mobile World Congress back in February. The Transformer Pad Infinity TF 700 is basically a Transformer Prime with an upgraded spec highlighted by a 10.1-inch screen with a 1920 x 1200 resolution and a Gorilla Glass front.
Two hardware configurations will be sold, with the Wi-fi version coming with NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor, and a 4G LTE version that comes powered by a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 ‘Krait’ processor. Both models will arrive running on Android 4.0, and will feature an 8MP camera with LED flash and a listed 8-hour battery.
The tablets will start shipping on July 16, starting at $499 for the 32GB version and $599 for the 64GB model. The keyboard dock that also adds an additional five-hour battery will be sold separately for $149.
