For everyone who got bummed out by the lack of release info from Nokia’s 808 PureView announcement yesterday, here’s a little bit of info to make it up. According to a recent post at the Nokia Conversations blog, the 808 PureView will be sold in the US by Amazon, costing $699 without a contract.
The blog post also mentioned that the phone will be sold unlocked and compatible with AT&T and T-Mobile’s 3G networks (and won’t be limited to 2G data as earlier mentioned.
Unfortunately, they still didn’t announce a release date, but you can sign up here to get news on availability once it starts shipping. Pre-orders will start later this week on Amazon.
