If you plan on taking your iPhone 4 or 4S on an extended trip to the great outdoors, then you’re going to need an accessory that gives it more than the usual amount of protection and an extended battery. Here’s something you might be interested in: iOS accessory-maker Mophie just pulled out all the stops on their newest iPhone case, giving the Juice Pack Pro more than the usual protection and “the largest battery ever built into a Juice Pack case.”
The Juice Pack Pro is made up of five parts, with a front panel that features a screen protector, a noise-canceling mic port, water tight speaker cover and home button, and speaker holes that route the sound from the built-in speakers to the front of the case. The back panel features a rubberized outer cover that surrounds the phone’s edges with water-tight port covers and sealed buttons.
In between, the Juice Pack Pro packs an external battery pack, as well as a bottom component that features a 30-pin dock connector and audio jack that hooks up the phone with the external battery. The bottom part also adds LED lights that indicate the battery’s charge levels and a switch that gives the user control over when to use the external battery. The entire case also comes packaged with a detachable panel that features a rotating belt clip.
The exterior features add up to a case that’s exceeds military specifications (MIL-STD 810G) with vibration, shock and impact protection, splash and rain protection, as well as sand and dust protection. The 2,500mAh battery pack is also listed to add 150% more power.
The Juice Pack Pro is compatible with both the iPhone 4 and 4S, and is available now for $129.95.
