If you use your iPad for gaming more than anything else, then you probably already have Infinity Blade II installed. And if you do, you might want to check out the App Store for an available update, because the latest one offers a heap of new content for free. Called Vault of Tears, the new update extends the main storyline by adding a number of new items and features to break up the monotony.

Specifically, the 1.2 update features around 50 new items, including new weapons, shields and rings, but what we love more about it is the fact that it offers up a number of new monsters to kill (including the Moss Golem, Lupun, Dark Fiend, Bog Giant, and more) . The main storyline and gameplay remains unchanged, but just the simple addition of new monsters to hack and slash at and the number of new items make it a bit more fresh if you’ve been at it for a while.
The best part of it all? It’s totally free if you already bought Infinity Blade II – just run the update and you’ll get the content. And for the iOS gamer who didn’t buy Infinity Blade II when it was first introduced last year, this is the perfect time to buy the game; the price just dropped down to $2.99 on the App Store “for a limited time.” They didn’t mention exactly when the price drop ends, but we’re not waiting around to find out. Get it now if you don’t have it yet.
Infinity Blade supports the iPhone 3Gs/4/4S, iPod touch 3rd/4th gen, and the iPad.
