Vertu has announced a new collection of phones under their Constellation line that comes covered in “summer’s must-have colors”. It’s pretty much the same phone as the rest of their Constellation line, but the Candy line separates itself from the pack by rocking front and rear panels wrapped in high-quality alligator skin done in Candy Raspberry, Candy Mint Green and Candy Tangerine.
Technically, the Constellation Candy is considered a smartphone, although geeks looking for performance should probably get their smartphone fix somewhere else. Based on the Nokia C7, the Constellation series runs on Symbian, and features a 3.5-inch AMOLED touch screen, 32GB of built-in storage, and an 8-megapixel camera that supports 720p video recording.
In case the “in-this-summer” colors didn’t make it obvious, this phone is designed for fashionistas with a high amount of disposable income to burn. For the type who values style more than tech performance, the phone sports a sapphire crystal glass front, while 0.34 carats of natural gem stones have been tastefully mixed in with the stainless steel surfaces and alligator skin wrap, amounting to a stylish- phone with a $9,500 price tag.
The phone doesn’t end with the precious materials, top-notch build quality and average smartphone tech though. Again, for the traveling fashionista who can afford it, the phone comes with access to global fashion weeks and a number of Vertu’s exclusive services such as Vertu Concierge, Vertu Concierge Live, Vertu Club Access, Vertu Select, Vertu City Brief and Vertu.Me.
