From the ‘Tube: David Beckham plays Ode to Joy using drums, footballs, and a Samsung Galaxy Note

Here’s an interesting promo video of Samsung Olympic Games ambassador David Beckham playing Beethoven’s Ode to Joy on a rack of drums, using footballs to hit the right notes. Of course it’s all neatly edited to get the right tempo, but if you have 120 seconds to burn on a YouTube video, it’s a pretty entertaining clip. The impressive feat of kicking accuracy and the neat editing has nothing to do with the Galaxy Note, of course. Samsung’s ‘phablet’ makes an appearance before and after Beckham’s performance, when he took a photo of the wall of drums and used the pen to write a note before posting it to his Facebook page (or Samsung Mobile’s Facebook page. We have no idea where he actually posted the photo, but the video’s up on Samsung’s page). Check out the video after the break.
