The Toshiba Excite 10, the company’s mid-sized, Android 4.0-based slate is now available from $450 for the base model. Available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities, all models feature a 10.1-inch, 1280 x 800 screen behind a Gorilla Glass panel, Bluetooth and Wi-fi connectivity, NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 3 processor, and runs on Android 4.0 out-of-the-box. The spec is rounded out by a five-megapixel main camera as well as a two-megapixel front camera, micro HDMI and micro USB ports, a 10-hour (listed) battery life, and an SD card slot for adding more storage.
The 32GB model retails for $530, while the 64GB model tops out at $650. And yes, we did call this 10-incher “mid-sized.” That’s because Toshiba also has a 7.7-incher and a huge 13-inch tablet in the works. The Excite 7.7 and Excite 13 tablets are expected out in June.
